Tour of 6th Century Monastic settlement, St. Kevin’s church and ancestral burial grounds of the Byrnes of ‘Croneybyrne’.

Throughout the walk you will see a stone caher, a number of early monastic churches, the round tower and a medieval cathedral.
After lunch in the local hotel, walk around Glendalough’s twin lakes, the old lead mines and Glenmacnass Waterfall. Drive on to Croneybyrne Courtyard Holiday Homes to check in, chill out and explore the grounds for the afternoon.
Optional collection at 6.30 for local pub/restaurant or stay and make full use of your luxury self-catering accommodation.
Day 2
After breakfast our guide and mini bus will meet you at 10 am in the Courtyard to drop you to the start point of your walk through the best parts of the Wicklow Way.
The Wicklow Way runs for 132 kilometres from Co. Dublin, up into the Dublin and Wicklow mountains and finishes in Co. Carlow. The Trail combines wide ranges of landscape and views such as forest trails, mountain landscapes, lush countryside and mountain lakes.
During the walk (weather permitting), you will have a picnic lunch. When the walk is finished the minibus will then return to the holiday homes for you to freshen up.
Later that evening the mini bus will bring you for dinner in one of Wicklow’s most popular pubs for some food, music and Irish hospitality.
Day 3
Our guide will meet you in the Courtyard at 10am (after check out) for a walk of approx 2 hours from Croneybyrne through one of Wicklow’s finest nature reserves into Clara Vale where you will see one of the oldest churches and the picturesque bridge where the Avonmore river flows through that dates back to 1733.
Then you will drive to Avoca Woollen Mills for lunch and a stroll around the craft shop to see the oldest working woollen mills in the British Isles (started in 1723).
Short tour of Avoca village to see Fitzgerald’s pub (film location for ‘Ballykissangel’). Stop off en-route at ‘Meetings of the Waters’ where the poet ‘Thomas Moore’ found inspiration for most of his writing. From here the mini bus will drive you back up to Dublin City Centre.
